A Disastrous Problem With xyAlgebra's
Internet Access Occurred on 9/27/11!

The Internet Service Provider used by xyAlgebra changed its access parameters without adequate warning. Version 6.2 (and earlier) of xyManager suddenly refused to run if configured for Internet access. Student programs were similarly afflicted. Uses not configured for Internet Access may continue using Version 6.2.

The new versions of all three programs, Version 6.4, fix the problem. (For technical reasons, there was no version 6.3.)

Users needing Internet Access MUST now use Version 6.4, available via the "Free Downloading" button above. If you update using your existing Manager File (xyManager.stu) from your Version 6.2 or earlier xyManager folder, you should be able to retain your students' progress records, up to the time of the problem.

Unfortunately, all students must also then switch to a suitably configured copy of Version 6.4. The procedure is:
  1. Download and install xyManager 6.4 and one or both student programs, as needed.
  2. Run and configure xyManager 6.4 and update your previous Manager File.
  3. Configure the Version 6.4 student programs using xyManager 6.4.
  4. Distribute the configued student programs to students.
